I am so proud of my baby girl! She is great when she has to go to the doctor and now I know that she can handle the dentist too! She had her 1st appt. on Tuesday. Here are a few pics....

Everytime I look at her my eyes tear up. I am so thankful that I have this beautiful little girl. She is my life and my love. This is the best thing that I have ever done!!!!

Ok, here are a few recent pictures of my "big girl".

This one is her looking "sweet".

This was at the circus last Saturday (4/12). She was playing with her "magic wand" that we bought her.

It has been awhile, and I will post pics soon I promise. It isn't like I don't have them because you know I have a ton!

We went to the circus on Saturday. Sami and absolutely loved it. She was in awe and sat in her seat so good. I was VERY proud of her.

Today, we converted her crib to a day bed. She loves her "big girl bed". She played in it all afternoon. In and out....in and out. She is already down for the night and she has stayed in it since I put her down. I did buy one of the mesh guard rails and put on it. The way she sleeps, I would worry all night and not get any myself.

My baby girl had her 2 year appt. yesterday and her stats were:

31.8 lbs
36" long

So, my baby girl isn't so little anymore. If I go by the old wives tale to see how tall she will be:

"Measure the height of the child on his or her second birthday and double that measurement".

Looks like we are going to have a 6 footer on our hands. It would make since....I am 5'10" and Jer is 6'.

She is doing good and made out like a bandit at her party. I will add some pictures shortly. I have to get them onto the computer. I just haven't been up to doing it the last couple of days.

Happy Birthday baby! It is so hard to believe that 2 years ago on this day you came into my life. My life has not been the same nor would I ever want it to be now. I love you more than words can say and with all of my heart.

Ok, I have no clue what to dress Samantha as for Halloween, but here are some of the costumes that I have found and like, along with some quick notes about them.

I just think that this is adorable....

She is definitely a little monster right now (still cute though)
I just thought that this octopus was different and kind of cute.
She was a fish last year, why not a turtle this year?

Ok, now for a couple of lion suits:

I would probably have to say this is my favorite lion suit.

Here is a quick update on my NOT so little girl.

She had her 18 mo. appt. on Monday. She weighed 28.4 lbs (90th percentile) and was 34.5" (above 100%) tall.

She got one shot and took it like a champ. She watched it go in and never made a sound. She was so good and minded everything that the doctor said. He said that she is "a picture of perfect health". I was and am so proud of her!!!!

Sorry Jenn....here are some pics from our trip to TX 2 weeks ago (talk about a whirlwind trip). I sure wish we would have had more time to visit with everyone. It seems like there is never enough time when you are there to visit family.

So, here she is in all her glory...black eye, cut, and all!

She decided to take a step off of the porch on Friday evening and took a tumble. We have a concrete rain guard right next to the porch steps and had she not hit that, she would have been fine. We were VERY lucky that she didn't get hurt any worse. She is such a trooper...cried for all of 5 minutes. I would have cried for much, much, MUCH longer!

She is definitely one tough cookie.....

Sorry that they are blurry, but it is hard to get a picture when she is after your phone. Gotta love the picture phones when you only have a minute to catch them....

The weather was finally nice enough to get her outside yesterday. We took a walk around the block (she walked the majority of it), so it took us a while, then she played in the driveway and on the porch. It is supposed to be around 60 tomorrow, so we will be out after work again. Then, they are calling for snow this weekend and temps back in the 30's, so who knows when we might get out again. I reckon we have to take advantage for the next day or two!

My little girl is growing up....

She had her 1 year appt. yesterday and here are her stats:

Weight: 26 lbs. (97th percentile)
Height: 30 1/2" (90th percentile)

Looks like I am going to have a good size girl. She is going to be like her mama!

She got 3 shots and that didn't go all that great. She screamed bloody murder. I felt horrible! Then after her appt. we had to go down to the lab for her to get a blood draw because they wanted to check her system for lead! When I say blood draw....I mean blood draw...tourniquet, needle in the arm and all! She cried, but she handled that better than the shots. Her little face was so red and speckled with white. It made me want to cry!

I guess that is one of the prices that you have to pay....you hurt when your child hurts!

She is officially 1!!!!

We had a great time! She was so good.

I can NOT believe that my baby is 1. It seems like the time just flew by. Another tooth broke through on her birthday. That makes a total of 5 now. 3 on top and 2 on bottom. She is walking all over the place and is REALLY into everything now.

She has her 1 year appt. on the 31st. We will see just how big she is now!

She was so tired that day at her grandmas. When my mom put her down for a nap, she was laying there...when she went back to check on her, that is what she found.

The car is at the Mall. She absolutely loved this thing. I was pushing her around and she was laughing, driving, and waving at people as we passed them. I wish I would have had the video camera instead of just the regular camera.

Then the last pic...she is being my little elf at the Santa display at the Mall.

Today was Samanthas 2nd day of daycare...and she cried when I left. I feel like crap!!!! Hopefully her day will get better.

12:23 pm....

I just talked to my mom and they said that Samantha did much better today. She didn't scream and cry near as bad and she has sloppy joes for lunch! Sounds like a pretty good day to me. Mom said that when she got there, they had the little ones sitting in the floor and they were blowing bubbles and the little ones were trying to catch them.

Next week we will do it again.

Samantha went to day care for the first time on Monday. She is only going 2 - half days a week...to get a little socialization!

Anyway, I guess that she did really well until they tried to put her down for a nap. The she screamed so hard that she threw up on herself. I feel horrible about it! I know that she wouldn't take a nap because too much was going on around her. She doesn't want to miss anything.

I was so proud when we got there. She didn't even cry when I left...to be honest, I'm not sure if she even noticed. She made a friend ( a little boy) right off the bat. She was just looking at him, so I put her in the floor. He crawled over to her and she gave him her bottle. What a flirt! I think that we need to nip that in the bud NOW!!!

Well, she goes again tomorrow...hopefully it will go better.

OH...forgot to mention...when mom went to pick her up...she was sitting in the high chair eating tater tots! She is such a big girl and growing to fast for me! She loves big people food.

We got our first snow yesterday..... HERE are the pics. I am not ready for this cold of weather yet. It was 32 or so when I got up this morning with a windchill of 22. I want 70 for a bit longer!

Well, I took Samantha in for her doctor appointment this morning. She had to go in so he could look at her feet. She turns them in and when she stands up, she will stand on the side of it. He does want her to go see a orthopaedic ped, so I am waiting to schedule that. The only bad thing is there aren't any here in Lansing, so we will either have to go to Brighton (45-50 miles away) or to Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan (about 70 miles away). I am actually leaning more towards the U of M. They have a lot of pediatric specialist there and I believe that may be where she will get the best treatment. The doctor doesn't think it is anything serious enough to need surgery, but he said she may have to either wear special shoes or may have to be casted. He said that we do need to get it taken care of because the way it is looking....she is going to be an early walker. She will be 9 mos. a week from tomorrow! Boy how time flies!

Well, anyway...other than that the appt. went well. At least for her...when they weighed her, we had to go to another room. Well, here she was naked as a jaybird and I decided that since I had her diaper off, I would just change it. As I am getting the diaper out of the diaper bag, she peed all over me. Well, it is cold here (32 as we speak and it is 12:45 pm) so I had a t-shirt with a fleece jacket on. I had taken off the jacket and was only wearing the t-shirt. I had to take the shirt off and here I am sitting at work, wearing only the fleece jacket. She seemed to think it was funny...she kept laughing...that could've been because Grandma Diana had her too!

Anyway...here are her stats for today:

Weight - 19 lbs. 13 oz (She is in the 75th percentile)
Length - 28.5" (80th percentile)

I can't believe how big she is getting especially if you compare it to her birth - 5 lbs. 10 oz and 18.25".

10/9/06 - Samantha said mama...she has been chattering and going on for quite some time now...this is just the first time that I have actually understood her saying it. I got lucky...she was at grandma Diana's and I just happened to be on the phone with her at the time.

Today - 10/11/06 - I was holding her while getting ready for work and she said da-da! Jer was already gone to work, so I hope that she will say it for him tonight...he needs to hear it. She has really been a mama's girl lately!

I finally put some new pics on the computer.

Here they are.

Samantha has her bottom front 2 teeth. They broke the skin a few days ago. You have been able to see them for a while now. Even though she is teething, she hasn't been overly cranky.

I will try to get a pic of them, but it is hard to get her to open her mouth unless she is eating or talking....she is a lot like her daddy! Just kidding!
